I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels (Is 61:10).
Oh, the many wonderful and blessed things our Lord has prepared for us—including a wardrobe!
It’s a wardrobe made of His righteousness, with costly garments spun of His salvation.
And it’s a wardrobe that includes armor . . . battle armor.
God has fitted us with armor for this battle that wages against us. So we can stand victorious (Eph 6:13-17).
In His great love, the Lord has prepared other beautiful garments for you to wear. The garments of kindness and compassion. Choose to clothe yourself with them daily. When you do, others see His reflection in you. And, when the people of the Lord are clothed in His love, there is harmony among us (Col 3:14).
We can also adorn ourselves with garments of praise—for the display of His splendor (Is 61:3).
Wearing these royal garments crown us with the glory of the Bridegroom—and makes the world a more beautiful place.
